To describe our strengths, let us look back over the choices we’ve made and the key years in our history, based on the fundamental principles of the agricultural world: values, tradition and genuine products.

Over the years, we have translated our passion into reality with the Piverone (TO) “La Schiavenza” farmhouse, the exclusive “CellaGrande” winery on Lake Viverone (BI) and “La Tchavana” in Ayas (AO). All perfect places to spend wonderful days immersed in the countryside or to taste typical dishes made with ingredients from our production.

The maturing of our products takes place in environments made of stone, wood and natural mountain pasture spring water. This place, which can be visited, is called “CROTTA DE METSAN” and is “Europe’s highest cellar”, as well as being the jewel in our crown, allowing the raw material to mature perfectly thanks to a constantly humid temperature.

Bagnod Farm was founded in 1946 based on the fundamental principles of the agricultural world: values, tradition and authenticity of products.

It took its first steps dealing with livestock breeding and milk processing, and still maintains the principles of traditional old-fashioned processing in production.

Processed livestock products can be found at our locations: La Tchavana, La Schiavenza and Cella Grande

Bagnod Farm – Year : 1946

The history of the Bagnod farm began in 1946 when Gino and Clelia Bagnod moved from Val d’Ayas to Piverone and bought the farmstead “La Schiavenza”. Here, they work with passion to improve breeding systems without distorting their authenticity, making production more efficient and feeding the animals with pasture and hay. The company’s dairy and meat products are quickly appreciated by consumers for their quality

La Tchavana – Year: 1999

After this first entrepreneurial experience, the Bagnods bought a mountain pasture in Val d’Ayas, in their homeland, dedicating themselves to the production of typical Aosta Valley products, above all the famous Fontina DOP. in 1999, in order to make the most of these products, the owners inaugurated the “La Tchavana” farmhouse restaurant, a structure that was built adjacent to the old alpine pasture building.
